The Top 10 at each position, at the end of the 2022-2023 season...in my opinion.

This series of articles will rank the top 10 players at each position in the NHL. My process will consist of my personal view of the player, their production, and their skill level based on both the eye test and analytics. These are, in my opinion, the best players going in to next season. This is only one man's opinion, and it is inevitable that disagreements will happen. But I’ll do my best to explain why I have players where I do. I’ll also put my favourite play from each player from this past year.

10 - Darcy Kuemper - Washington Capitals - Age: 33

2022-2023 Regular Season Stats:

Kuemper had a fairly tumultuous first year in Washington. Though having watched him quite a bit, he was stellar outside of a few softies on occasion. With how depleted the caps roster was, especially on the back-end, missing their best d-men for large portions of the season, he really did as good as anyone could. Kuemper has been one of the most underrated goalies in the league since 2017-2018. In that time span Kuemper is tied for first in save percentage (.919%) which is remarkable considering the majority of that time was spent behind consistently bad teams in Arizona. Kuemper should bounce back nicely in his second year in Washington behind a hopefully much healthier team.

9 - Filip Gustavsson - Minnesota Wild - Age: 25
